The Tigers lost a tough one Friday 30-13 to our rival Maconaquah in the first Annual Wagon Wheel game.

The kids played hard and showed at times some really good stuff. As a team we rushed for over 230 yards with Alex Ross rushing for 124 and 2 TD’s Braxton Strong had 5 catches for 68 yards.

Defensively the Tigers were led by Matthew Rotteger with 13 total tackles, followed by Ross with 11 and Josh Watkins with 7.

The Tigers are on the road again as we travel to Rochester this Friday night.

For my first Peru and Maconaquah game, I told my players how lucky they were to play in front of a huge crowd. Today very few get to feel that excitement of a large setting. Kudos to both Maconaquah and Peru fan bases.

Tigers stood their ground against the Lakeland Christian Cougars, with injuries present, and other events taking players from today’s game, we held the Cougars to a two goal deficit. William Rodriguez finding a chance to take a shot on goal. Today’s match included lots of substitutions making it difficult to gain any traction with the players on the field.
