The Wabash boys cross country team hosted the Apache Invite Tuesday at the Wabash City Park winning the meet with a score of 22 points.

Lewis Cass was second with 34, Northfield third with 84, and Whitko did not field a complete team. Kaden Vogel was the first Wabash runner to cross the finish line coming in 2nd place. Dave Ford, Brett Shull, Jonas Church and Isaiah Cordes all came in very close to each other finishing in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 8th. Chase Howard was 10th, Kasen Oswalt 13th, Kristian Stanton 22nd, Matt Niles 24th, and Maverick Sommers 30th. The Apaches will be back in action again next Saturday at the TRC Championship meet.

The Lady Apaches competed in their one and only home meet of the season Tuesday evening at the Apache Invite. The girls toed the line with Northfield and Whitko runners, preparing to take on the physically draining and mentally tough course that they run on each day. The girls were ready to race. And because of their efforts, the girls ran quick on the course, with 6 of the girls placing in the top 10. Not only did the Apaches race with speed, they set their intentions to race with heart. Because of this, the girls brought home the first trophy in over a decade for the Wabash Girls High School team!

First for the HS lady Apaches was our junior, Calisen Kugler, winning the race in 1st place with a time of 23:18. Next behind Kugler was freshman, Haylee Friend, coming in 2nd place with a time of 23:51. Ivy Beamer, our team sophomore, raced to the finish in 4th place and running a time of 25:13. Following Ivy Beamer was freshman Raegan Jones. Raegan crossed the line in 5th place with a time of 25:14. Not far behind was Maya Howard, another freshman, running in a time of 25:56 and placing 6th.

Next was freshman Ava Bishir. Bishir came in with a time of 26:41 and taking 9th place. Our team senior, Grace La Mar, crossed the line in her last ever home race in a time of 27:43 and taking 11th place.

The Lady Norse ran in the Wabash Invite on Tuesday night. While not having a complete team, all the girls ran very well.

Coming into the finish shoot at a 3rd place finish was Madeline Moore in a time of 24:03. Trinity Bever finished in 26:20, Mara Zolman in 26:27 and Asia Miller in 27:24.

Tuesday the varsity boys cross country team ran at the Wabash Invite placing 3rd as a team.

Coming in first for the Norse was Tayten Barlow in 20:42. Following Tayten was Ty Leming in 21:15, Jaden Baer in 21:38, Ryland Miller in 21:41, Ryan Brunett in 21:55, Kamdon Carpenter in 23:01, John Clark in 23:37, Steven Kowalczuk in 24:08, Ashton Aderman in 25:06, Xavier Roark in 25:36 and Eli Mattern in 26:14.
