Lady Squires Fall At Wawasee
The Manchester Lady Squires basketball team opened their season with a 50-32 loss at Wawasee Wednesday.
The young Lady Squires had a slow start against an aggressive Wawasee team.The Lady Warriors came out knocking down shots as they scored 36 first half points while the Lady Squires struggled to get anything to fall.
The Squires made a great second half effort though, outscoring the Warriors 20-14, they but could never over turn the deficit from the first half.
Brookelynn Buzzard led all scorers with 11 points while also adding 5 steals and 3 rebounds. She was followed in scoring by Gracie Lauer with 6 points, Hadley West with 5 points, and Kim Schroll with 4. Olivia Neal had a strong all-around game inside with 3 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 steals. Aliala Atienza, Peyton Ream and, Molly Schannep each added a free throw.
