Knights Top Churubusco On Walk Off Passed Ball
Knights baseball picked up a hard-fought win against Churubusco Friday night.
In a low scoring affair the Knights twice were able to break the tie. In the 6th it was a 1-1 ball game and there were consecutive singles from Jaret Denney, Ryan Deeter, and Micah Smith. That left bases loaded for Coan Holloway who put a ball in play and singled himself to score Denney for the go ahead run. The Knights defense made an error in the top of the 7th to give Busco a tying run.
Bottom of the 7th the Knights just needed one run to walk it off. They got lead off singles from Jaron Craft and Dalton Barney. With Micah Smith at the plate, there was a passed ball that allowed Craft to score the winning run from third.
