Girls Varsity basketball falls to Southwood. Alyvia Shaw led the team in scoring with 9 points, followed by Jenessa Shields with 8. The team will face North Manchester at home on Saturday.

The Varsity Golden Eagles completed the trifecta on the night after the C Team and JV also defeated Wabash. Down one at halftime the Golden Eagles won the last 2 quarters to take the tight victory 52-47. It was a tight back and forth lead through 3, then the Eagles took the lead early in the 4th and played from ahead the rest of the game. Landon Biegel paced the scoring with 23 points. Ty Fagan contributed 12 points in limited action as he was battling foul trouble throughout. Matthew Strange had 7 points with 4 big free throws in the 4th quarter to help seal the victory. Kroll poured in 6 points and was extremely active on the defensive end. Grant Elzinga and Levi Trexler also chipped in 2 points each and much needed defensive pressure. Lucas Hasty was also big off the bench defensively and securing rebounds for the Eagles. The Golden Eagles will host their first home game of the year this Saturday vs Manchester with a JV start at 4:30 pm after enjoying Thanksgiving Thursday and Turkey Slides Friday!
