Results from Maconaquah for Monday, November 28th

It is always good to have a meet and see where we are at as a team. We saw a lot of time drops from last year and had some outstanding performances. Jarrod Nead dropped 12 sec. in the 200 Free and .5 in the 50 free. Brady Dausch dropped a sec in the 50 Free and dove in his first ever meet. P.J. Higgins dropped 1 sec in 50 Breaststroke and 7.4 sec in 100 Breaststroke. Cole Nye was 4/4 bests. He dropped .6 in 50 breast, .5 in 100 breast, 6 sec in 100 Butterfly, and .8 in 50 Free. Ryley Rodky dropped 1 sec in 50 Fly and 2.6 in 100 Fly. I am very proud of our three new swimmers. Luke Abbott, Victor Riker, and Drake Samuel have been working hard in practice and have learned a lot in a short time. Luke Abbott dropped 5.5 sec in 50 Free. Victor dropped 3.5 sec in 50 Free then another 1.5 in the 200 Free Relay and 12 sec in the 100 free. Drake dropped 4.5 in 50 Free and swam the 500 free. We talked before the meet about him just finishing it and scoring points for the team. I knew I could count on him to give it his all. The Golden Goggle Award goes to Jesse Santiago. Jesse has had much better focus this season. He has been working hard in practice and has some great goals for the season. Jesse dropped 2.5 sec in 50 Fly, 17 sec in 100 Fly, and 1.7 sec in 50 Free. Next meet is Thursday at Manchester. We will hopefully see more improvement then.
