What a great way to start the season!!! The medley relay started the night finishing wiht 1st (A. Jordan, Jones, Laber, and Tyra) and 2nd (Loshnowsky, Heath, Winegardner, and Sebastian). The 200 IM was another 1, 2, 3 with freshman Zoie Laber, Abby Heath, and Lucy Loshnowsky. Thea Tyra, freshman Kyndal Collins, and Nevy Sebastian placed 1,2,3 again in the 50 freestyle. Aubrey McClain placed 2nd in diving and newcomer Violet Shively placed 4th. Thea Tyra placed 1st in the 100 free with Nevy Sebastian and Shay Schoettmer placing 3rd and 4th. Chloe Jordan Maddie Brennan, and Marissa Burnett placed 1,2,3 in the 500 free. In the sprint relay, Winegardner, Heath, Jones, and C. Jordan placed 1st. Lucy Loshnowsky placed 1st in the 100 back with Abby Jordan placed 3rd and Kyndal Collins placed 4th. In the 100 breaststroke, Heath, Jones, and Winegardner placed 1,2,3. The 400 relay had Mac again in the 1,2,3 postitions to end the meet.

The Golden Goggle went to Thea Tyra for the night. She was placed in sprinting events which is not her favorite. She is also working through a recent injurty and I couldn’t have been more proud by the effort that was given as well as her performance. This is a young team and we are working on finding our groove in what events work best for us. I can’t express how impressed I am with how dedicated the girls are to improve. There were thirty-five best times last night and I couldn’t be happier with their performance. We do have work to do to clean up a few things but that is to be expected! We will meet against Manchester on Thursday!
