The Lady Vikes were victorious on the road tonight over Manchester HN 54- Manchester 25. The Lady Vikes came out of the gates strong jumping out to an early 21-2 lead. The Vikes stunned the Squires with an aggressive defensive effort from the start. Taking a 28-7 lead heading into the 2nd quarter. Marissa Trout came out hot for the Lady Vikes scoring 12 of her 20 points in the 1st. The 2nd quarter the offense slowed just a little but the ā€œDā€ continued to cause problems for the Lady Squires. The Vikes were able to get their hands on the ball leading to lots of deflections and a season high 17 steals with Haiden Bailey have 8 steals of her own. The 3rd and 4th quarters were a continuation of the first half as the Lady Vikes cruised to the win. With the win the Lady Vikes are now 5-2 (0-1) on the season. Next game is Friday night at New Haven. Senior All-state Candidate Taylor Double 18.3 PPG (Marian Commit) did not play with an injury.
