I am very proud of how the boys performed last night against Tippy Valley. Valley only has 7 guys but they are good. We did not win very many events but were 2,3,4 in most. Isaac Lorenz barely got touched out in the 50 free then out touched the same guy for the win in the 100 Free. They were both great races. Quinn Richard had a best time in the 100 Butterfly by 1.6 sec. Jesse Santiago was 3/4 bests. .1 in the 200 IM, .4 in the 100 Breast, and .8 in the 100 Free. Jarrod Nead dropped 3.5 sec in the 50 Fly and swam the 200 IM for the first time. Luke Abbott dropped 5 sec in 50 Free, 12 sec in 100 Breast, and 3 sec in 100 Free. Brady Dausch better his dive score by 2 points and swam the 100 Free for the first time. Cole Nye had a great lead of 50 free in the 200 Free Relay dropping .2. Jonathan O’Connor swam the 200 Free for the first time. Ryley Rodkey had best in both his individual events, dropping .06 in the 50 Free and .6 in the 100 Free. Victor Riker was 3/4 bests. He dropped 7.7sec in the 50 Back, 3 sec in the 50 Free, and 2 sec in the 100 Back. Drake Samuel was 4/4 bests. He dropped 3 sec in 50 Free part of Medley Relay, 2 sec in individual 50 Free, ANOTHER 10 SECONDS in the 500 Free, and 5 sec in the 100 Free. I am especially proud of Aiden Williams. He has been working on getting enough dives to compete. Last night he put 5/6 in the water and scored points for the team. The Golden Goggle Award goes to P.J. Higgins. I have noticed a difference in P.J. the past two weeks. He has stepped up his effort in practice and has looked so much smoother in the water. He dropped 5 sec in the 200 Free, 1.7 sec in the 100 Free, and .8 sec in his leg of 200 Free Relay. Next meet is home Monday agaist Wabash.

Diving earned us 1st and 3rd from Kathryn Rodkey (PR) and Aubrey McClain. The 100 butterfly was 1,2,3 from Sam Jones, Abby Jordan (PR), and Zoie Laber. In the 100 freestyle it was more of the same earning 1,2,3 from Loshnowsky (PR), Sebastian, and Heath. Chloe Jordan shaved six seconds off her 500 time earning her 1st with Thea Tyra placing 3rd and Madison Brennan placing 4th (PR). The girls placed 1st (Winegardner, Jones, Tyra, C. Jordan) and 2nd (Collins, Schoettmer, Rodkey, Heath) in the 200 frestyle relay. Loshnowsky (PR), Sebastian, Collins (PR) placed 1,2,3 in the 100 backstroke. In the 100 breaststroke, Abby Heath, Laci Winegardner, and Shay Schoettmer placed 2,3,4. The 400 freestyle relay was a 1st (Tyra, Laber, Loshnowsky, and C. Zoie Laber earned the Golden Goggle! Zoie is a freshman and works really hard in practice. She has continued to have time drops with each meet. I couldn’t be more proud of her and can’t wait to see what she will do the rest of this season.
