The Eagles found themselves down to a scrappy Western team by 5 points with just under 2 minutes to play. Then the Eagles pressure defense caused turnovers and went on a 9-0 run to take the game 43-39! Biegel sealed the deal with a couple of late free throws. Scoring was limited in this game with Biegel leading with 16, Kroll with 15, Fagan with 10, and Trexler chipping in 2 off the bench. The Golden Eagles return to action Tuesday December 27th at approximately noon in the first round of the Grant 4 as they face off against Madison-Grant at Mississinewa.

The host Golden Eagles won its fourteenth consecutive Grant 4 Wrestling Tournament on Monday, December 19, 2022.
