Results from Peru for Tuesday, January 10th

The Tigers welcomed the Manchester Squires to Tig-Arena for a TRC match-up Tuesday night. The Tigers came out with the victory 65-56.

The Tigers went in to halftime with a 5 point deficit but came out in the 3rd quarter with a better defensive effort to pull the deficit to 1 point at 41-42. The Tigers outscored the Squires 24-14 in the 4th quarter to pull away and win 65-56. The Tigers again won the game at the free throw line attacking the basket and making 17/28 free throws.

The Tigers were lead offensively by Brianna Bennett with 19 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 blocked shot, and 3 steals. Cameryn Raber had 13 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals. Brooklyn Garner had 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 steal. Emma Eldridge had 9 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 4 steals. Kaylene Kirk had 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 blocked shot. Addison Robbins had 4 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals. Maddie Nordman had 2 points and 1 rebound.

The Tigers are now 8-9 on the year and 4-2 in the TRC. The Tigers are currently on a 4 game win streak and have won 7 of their last 9 games. The Tigers continue TRC play Thursday as they travel to Southwood to take on the Knights. This will be a full JV and Varsity contest with JV set to tip-off at 6:15 with varsity to follow.
