Knights Fall To Madison Grant

The Southwood Knights fell to Madison Grant 67-60 Monday.

The Madison Grant Argylls third quarter helps propel them to a victory over our Knights. Southwood held a one point lead at the half 30-29, but the Argylls won the third 22-12, to take a 51-42 into the fourth quarter.

The Knights made a furious run with two minutes to remain, but could only cut the lead to single digits and fall 67-60.

Missing the man in the middle, Jason Oprisek, due to concussion protocol, Cole Winer helped lead the Knights with 24 points. Three other Knights scored in double figures, Nathan Lehner 14, Will Winer and Dylan Stout with 10 each.

The 7-11 Knights return to action tonight when they host the 15-4 Adams Central Flying Jets.

Southwood High School Boys Junior Varsity Basketball beat Madison Grant High School 54-43

The Knights JV rode a 19pt second quarter to gain their second win in a row over a good Madison Grant team.
