Winer Surpasses 1000 Against Adams Central
The Southwood basketball team fell to Adams Central 69-50 Tuesday. Senior Cole Winer drained a three in the fourth quarter to become the 12th Southwood boys basketball player to join the 1000 point club.
The Flying Jets held a 31-27 lead at the break, and won the third quarter 23-8 to extend there lead that the Knights could not recover from.
The Knights showed fatigue from playing Madison Grant the previous night and did not shoot well for the evening, shooting 37% and making only nine 2-FG’s.
The 7-11 (4-4 TRC) Knights return to action Friday night at the Castle when they host the Northfield Norsemen in the final conference game @ 7:45pm.

The JV Knights notch their third win in a row with a 50-26 victory over the Flying Jets. After leading by only 3 at half the Knights turned up the intensity on offense and defense to out score the Jets 31-10 in the second half.

The Southwood C team defeated Adams Central 35-15
Davon Osborn paced the winners in scoring column with a game high 10 points. He also had three blocks and seven rebounds in another strong defensive effort. Aiden Hawkins was next in scoring with nine points, including a three pointer and three steals.
Bryce Brewer contributed six points, two assits and four rebounds. Cooper Drake played another strong game at point guard with five points, four assists and two steals. Duke Sparks had four points, seven rebounds and two steals. Owen Enyeart rounded out the winners scoring with a point, three steals and four rebounds.
