Maconaquah High School Boys Varsity Basketball beat Manchester Jr-Sr High School 73-68

The Braves won a huge TRC at home over a very good Manchester team. Manchester, with the loss was knocked out of TRC Championship contention.

Coach Burrus Quote: “This Manchester win was a sectional type win for us. We played it like a sectional game. I thought some keys to winning were: we outrebounded(40-33) Manchester. We won the steal (12-5) and turnover(15-9) battle. I thought Josaih Ball carried us in the 3rd quarter. I thought our press and break were very good in the 2nd half. I also thought our home crowd was awesome. It was great to see so many stand and cheer for Coach Clark. Just a great night of basketball.

Note- We have some numbers being put up that I wanted to share. Bauer Maple has a shot at a club I wonder if less than 100 players all-time have accomplished in the history of Indiana Basketball. He has a shot at 500pts, 100 rebounds(90), 100 steals(96), and 100 assists(84) in one season!!! Let’s hope he can make this. Really, unheard of.

Also, we have a number of players heading to the 100 rebound club I spoke of in earlier posts. Josiah Ball leads with 127. MJ Ellis has 117. Ethan Zeiser has 93. Fuddy Kile has 93. And Bauer Maple with 90. This has really helped us this year. All of our players have focused on rebounding this season.

Kelly 20pts 6reb 3ast 5st

Ball 18pts 5reb 4ast 1st

Maple 17pts 2reb 3ast 3st

Ellis 6pts 11reb 1ast 1bl

Zeiser 6pts 4reb 2st

Kile 6pts 6reb 2ast

Armstrong 5reb 1st
