Knights Fall In Nine At Shenandoah
The Southwood baseball team traveled to Shenandoah to open the season Tuesday, falling 5-4 in nine innings.
The Knights would get on the board in the first inning when Ashton Smith doubled and scored on a Mo Lloyd single. Shenandoah would tie the score in the bottom of the inning.
Down 4-1 heading to the fifth the Knights would plate a couple runs. Coan Holloway would single and score on a two run shot from Lloyd. The Knights trailed 4-3.
In the seventh Holloway would be hit by a pitch before Lloyd was intentionally walked with two outs. Blayne Hamilton would then single home Holloway to tie the score.
The game would go to the ninth when Shenandoah would score on an error, a single and two walks for the 5-4 final.
