Oak Hill High School Boys Varsity Golf finishes 2nd place at Eastbrook Invite
The Oak Hill Eagles were trying to go back to back at the Eastbrook Invitational. Led by a stellar round of 75 by Trent Nelson the Eagles wound up 1 stroke short of victory. The Eagles will be back in action next Saturday at the Dekalb Invitational.
The Junior Varsity Team finished in 10 place with a score of 408.

Oak Hill High School Girls Varsity Track finishes 1st place at Frankfort Hotdog Invitational
The OHTF Lady Eagles competing in the six team Frankfort Hotdog Invitational for the 1st time in program history scored 178.5 points after winning 7 of 16 events to earn the Team Championship. Logansport took 2nd with 91.5 points.
Freshman Biruk Travis and Junior Leah Highley led the way combining to win 7 events. Travis won all 4 of her events winning the 1600 Meter Run and 800 Meter Run individually while also achoring the 4×800 Meter relay from behind to a 1st and as a member of the winning 4×400 Meter Relay. Highley joined Travis on the 4×4 anchoring it to a come from behind win while also taking individual 1st in 400 Meter Dash and 200 Meter Dash. Highley rounded out her day with a 2nd in her 4th event taking runner up honors in the 100 Meter Dash. Sophomore Audrey Woodard along with Freshmen Addison Carey and Sophia Rowland joined Travis on the winning 4×8.
Senior Kate Thompson and Sophomore Ellie Campbell were both multi event winners as well. Both joined Travis and Highley on the 4×4 as well while individually Thompson won the 300 Meter Hurdles and Campbell took the title in Long Jump.
Thompson added a runenr finish in the 100 Meter Hurdles as did Woodard in the 1600 Meter Run behind Travis. Campbell was 2nd to Highley in the 400 Meter Dash.
Other 2nd place individual finishers were Senior Lauren Rex in the Shot Put, Sophomore Jennessa Shields in the Disc, and Freshman Lexi Nuber in the 300 Hurdles behind Thompson. The 4×100 Meter Relay team consisting of Sophomores Riley Alfandre and Cail Bowlin along with Freshmen Ava Miller and Audrey Rex also took runner up honors.
Friday night a handful of Lady Eagles competed in the North Miami Warrior Relays. The best performance on the night came from the trio of Senior Haley McDowell along with Sophomores Aubrey Warnock and Amaya Thompson who combined in the Discus to take 3rd place overall.
The Lady Eagles are back in action Tuesday April 25th when the host Blackford, Faith Christian, and Madison Grant in a quad. Next Friday April 28th they host the Grant 4 Championships.

Oak Hill High School Boys Varsity Track finishes 1st place at Frankfort Hotdog Invitational
The OHTF Golden Eagles competing in the Frankfort Hotdog Invitational for the first time in program history won 9 of 16 events to score 191 points out distancing 2nd Place Plainfield’s 108 to win the Team Championship.
In all the Golden Eagles scored in all 16 events, including 2 individuals in all 11 individual events, and 4 1-2 finishes.
Senior Landon Biegel and Junior Owen Jackson were triple event winners while Biegal’s classmate Lucas Hasty was a double event winner.
Biegel and Jackson combined with Sophomore Lance Wyrick and Junior Toby Sneed to win the 4×800 Meter Relay. Biegel also was part of the winning 4×400 Meter Relay along with classmate Caleb Kroll and Hasty as well as Junior Levi Trexler. Individually Biegel took top honors in the 400 Meter Dash just out leaning Kroll for a 1-2 finish. Biegel added a 2nd place in his 4th event the High Jump. Jackson took 1st individually in the 1600 Meter Run and 800 Meter Run in front of classmate Trenton Sweet who took 2nd in both before earning his own individual win in the 3200 Meter Run. Hasty took individual honors in the 300 Meter Hurdles with Wyrick in 2nd for another 1-2 sweep. Hasty rounded out his strong day with a runner up finish in the 100 Meter Hurdles.
Senior Silas Jones and Junior Tai Johnson swept the throwing events with Jones winning the Shot Put and Johnson the Discus.
Additional Golden Eagles earning individual runner up honors were Senior Kyle Turanchick in the Long Jump and Junior Nate Brower in the Pole Vault.
Friday night a group of Golden Eagles competed in the North Miami Warrior Relays. The performace of the night came from the Distance Medley Relay 1st place finish. Relay members were Junior AJ Austin, Sophomore Owen Roth along with Freshmen Jordan Denham and Marc Caritos. In the combined field events the top finish came from the trio of Seniors Wyatt Strange and Parker Bailey along with Sophomore Trey McDowell who took 3rd overall. Strange Individually was 2nd in the event.
The Golden Eagles are back in action Tuesday April 25th when the host Blackford, Faith Christian, and Madison Grant in a quad. They also host the Grant 4 Championship next Friday April 25th.
