In the first game of the Wawasee Invitational, the Lady Wildcats faced the home team, Wawasee Warriors losing 2-1. Addie Garr was on the mound allowing 2 hits and striking out 12. Whitko didn’t commit a single error in the field. Hope Bradley led the team at the plate going 2-for-3. Addie Garr was hit by pitch then stole 2 bases and Bradley drove her in for the Wildcats only run of the game. Cassidy Skinner had a walk and a stolen base as well.
In the Consultation game, the Lady Wildcats took on South Bend Clay. Cassidy Skinner was on the mound allowing 10 hits and striking out 7. Addie Garr led the Wildcats going 4-for-4 with a single, a walk, and 2 hit by pitches. Hannah Long hit a double! Taylor Long, Kaylee Adkins, Hope Bradley, and Maddie Cripe all hit singles. Cassidy Skinner also had a stolen base and hit by pitch.
It was a very cold day with even a hail delay for the second day. The young Wildcat team did a great job staying focused and encouraging each other all day. Every game they are improving.
