Maconaquah High School Varsity Softball falls to Caston Jr-Sr High School 13-0

Maconaquah (5-6) falls to Caston (7-3) 13 to zero in 6 innings. Caston’s Addison Zimpleman pitched a shutout allowing 5 hits.

Hitting for Maconaquah was lead by Blayklee Buman going 3 for 3 one double, Amaya Rader added a triple, and Bailey Carson added a double.

Coach’s Thoughts…”The score board did not indicate it, but tonight was a better game for us versus Monday. Caston has two great pitchers and we only saw one tonight. Our strikeouts went down from 15 to 6. If you take away the two big innings, we held them in 4 innings to zero runs. In the field costly errors on routine plays continue to plague us. However, we are getting better. Tonight was by far our best game in the outfield. Our outfielders took better angles and hit their cutoffs. Losing two games back to back by such large margins in tough on moral. We need to keep grinding there is alot of games left to play.”
