Squires Fall In Pitchers Dual
The Manchester Squires dropped a conference game to the Peru Tigers on Monday night. The final was 1-0.
Squires hitters had a great approach at the plate all game. They were able to make solid contact from the first at bat; however, only 6 hits fell. The team hit a lot of balls right to Peru players.
Gavin Martin threw another gem on the mound. Gavin went the full 7 innings while giving up on one earned run and striking out 4. It only took Martin 87 pitches to complete the game. The Squires defense backed Martin by playing one of their cleanest games of the season. The team did not commit any errors. Ethan Hendrix led the Squires at the plate by going 2-4.
