Manchester Doubles Defeats Northfield

The Manchester one doubles team of Delani Henderson and Carleigh Blevins played the sectional doubles final in Culver against Northfield’s Eden Hoover & Camryn Kuhn as two undefeated sectional teams.

The match begin with Manchester breaking Northfield’s serve and then Delani Henderson serving four straight points wining on 4 first serves and 3 put aways by Carleigh Blevins at the net. Manchester extended the lead to 4-0 before Northfield got on the board. Up 4-1 Blevins would hold serve and then Manchester broke for a 6-1 opening set victory. Set two saw both teams trade games up until 3-3 when Henderson made her presence felt at the net and Blevins would rip several good groundstrokes to win the final 3 games to take the set 6-3 and advance to the doubles regional tournament again at Culver Academies against Plymouth.
