The Manchester varsity volleyball team opened up their season with a hard fought 4 set 23-25, 25-20, 25-14, 26-24 win against a tough Bishop Luers team on Saturday afternoon.
The Squires had a nice hitting game totaling 38 kills. The team was paced by McKelvey Espeset’s 10 kills, followed by Myla Crozier with 9, Olivia Davis with 5, and Gracie Lauer and Ava Felgar both with 4. Espeset also had 4 total blocks in the match.
Defensively, Paxton Baker picked up 22 digs to lead the Squires. Marley Bellinger with 13 and Izzy Renz with 10 were the other players with double digit digs.
Peyton Ream orchestrated a wonderful game today as setter totaling 33 assists while also getting 9 digs and 2 kills
.
Manchester JV Volleyball starts the season off right with a 2 set win against Bishop Luers High School.
