Peru Tigers fall to Logansport High School (Scrimmage) 2 – 1

Incredible scrimmage today. Jacobi Boyer with impressive center back control. Oliver Rabe with a left footed top right 90 goal. Great aggression on defense and offense. Landen Crowe did exceptional work in the goal today.

Peru Lady Tigers kicked off their season at home hosting their annual Invitational, placing 5th in the tournament. They went 2-2 on the day defeating Carroll 25-17, 25-17 and Lakeland Christian Academy 25-18, 25-18. The Tigers went down fighting against Rensselaer 21-25, 13-25, and Huntington North 19-25, 17-25. Freshman Jacey Boswell made her high school debut with 7 kills and 4 solo blocks. Also on the front line was sophomore Kyla Neupert with 15 kills and 17 service points. Seniors Madison Brimbury and Shelby Renn also collected 17 service points on the day. Peru Volleyball will be in action on Tuesday when they face Manchester for their first conference match. JV begins at 6:00pm

The Tigers traveled to Chippendale Golf Course on Saturday for the Western Invite. The team played their best round of the season so far and continued to show improvement. Piercey Dyer finished with a round of 73, earning a top 3 finish individually. The other Tigers all played rounds that were near personal bests as well; Lainey Wouster shot 106, Bailee Beattie and Raina Nero each shot 121, and Kelsey Guyer shot 126.

Peru returns to the course this Thursday at Rock Hollow against Maconaquah, Whitko, and North Miami. The match is scheduled to begin at 5:00.
