Maconaquah Boys Soccer Wins Season Opener 8-0 Over Caston

The Braves opened the season with Caston at home and came away with an 8-0 victory. This years team is led by a strong senior class including Isaac Lorenz, Nolan Jones, Kyler Hanson, Ryan Ousley, Alex Hicks & Ethan Zeiser. The team is working to fill several key roles that are empty from last years team, and used this first game of the season to fine tune the line-up. The result was an 8-0 victory with 8 different Braves players scoring off of 5 assists.

Scoring for Mac were Colton Beebe, Nolan Jones, Bennett Isenburg, Joe Manueles, Garrett McManus, Alex Hicks, Ethan Zeiser and Isaac Lorenz. Isenburg was dealing great passes tonight and recorded 4 assists. Ethan Zeiser also recorded an assist.

The Braves defense is very experienced this year with Kyler Hanson, Nolan Jones, Kevin Nord, Ryan Ousley and Corey Nord locking it down. Maconaquah also has a new goal keeper in Kaden Hanson, but didn’t get many shots against him. He ended the night with 3 saves.

Unfortunately for Braves fans, there are not very many home opportunites to see the team. The schedule currently has only 4 more home events and 9 away games. The next game will be on Thursday Aug 17th vs Taylor at home. Come out and support you Braves!
