Lady Squires Fall In Five Sets To Oak Hill

For the second year in a row, the Squires battled the Oak Hill Golden Eagles in a 5 set match and were once again unable to put the match away at the end, losing 2 sets to 3 (25-23, 23-25, 25-19, 18-25, 10-15).

The Squires battled hard throughout the game, but some untimely serving and hitting errors proved to be their downfall.

A balanced hitting effort was put together with Olivia Davis pacing the attack with 8 kills, followed closely by Gracie Lauer and McKelvey Espeset both wiht 7 kills. Myla Crozier, Izzy Renz, Peyton Ream, and Ava Felgar all also totaled multiple kills.

The Squires put together a scrappy defensive effort with Myla Crozier (11), Paxton Baker (19), and Peyton Ream (16) all picking up double digit digs. Hadley West and Marley Bellinger both put in strong work defensively and in serve receive.

The Varsity Squires do not play until next Thursday at North Miami High School. The JV Squires are in action on Saturday at the Wawasee Invite.
