Manchester Tennis Sweeps Maconaquah

The Manchester boys tennis team traveled to Maconaquah for a Three Rivers Conference matchup and had no trouble in a 5-0 win.

The Braves, who did not field a team last season, has four players this year, giving the Squires forfeit wins at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles.

Peyton Jones defeated Landon Adams, 6-1, 6-0 at No. singles while Josh Steely blanked Noel Bejorquez, 6-0, 6-0.

The No. 1 doubles team of Cole Henderson and Connor Trump gave up one game to Zach Duke and Clay Christopher in a 6-1, 6-0 win.

No. 3 singles player Caleb Struble-Hedstrom and the No 2 doubles team of Sammie Lambert and Owen Harshman received forfeits.

The Squires travel to Churubusco Monday, Aug. 21.
