The Wabash Lady Apaches soccer team picked up their 3rd win in the season to improve their record to 3-2, with their win over the Marion Giants Tuesday.

Wabash found themselves down 0-1 quickly in the first half, but didn’t backdown and about mid-way through the half found an equalizing goal by senior Natalie Adams. Then sophomore Logan Wright broke free and burried a shot to bring the Lady Apaches up 2-1. Senior Kiana Jones continued to serve beautifully for our offense and junior Abbie Hipskind tapped in of her crosses to bring Wabash 3-1 at halftime.

In the second half, Wright found the back of the net again, as the ball bounced around in the 18. The Giants put one more on the Apaches in a fantastic corner kick to goal for a final score of 4-2. Junior goalkeeper Olivia Braun had another strong game in goal with 9 saves. A tremendous defensive effort tonight lead by K. Jones along with sophomore Jaycee Jones and juniors Macy VonUhl and Graci Napier.

Senior Natalie Adams and junior Kait Honeycutt had very strong minutes winning and controlling the ball in the center of the field. Tonight shots on goal came from Adams, Wright, K. Jones, Honeycutt, junior Maddie VonUhl and sophomore Raegan Jones. The Lady Apaches are back in conference action on Thursday at Alumni Field hosting North Miami.
