The Manchester boys tennis team improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the Three Rivers Conference after a 3-2 victory over Rochester, Tuesady, Sept. 5.
Manchester picked up its first point at No. 3 singles with a 6-0, 6-3 win from Caleb Struble-Hedstrom.
Rochester tied it up at No. 1 singles with Manchester’s Peyton Jones dropping a 6-3, 6-3 decision.
The No. 1 doubles team of Cole Henderson and Connor Trump cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 win, followed quickly by the No. 2 doubles team of Sammie Lambert and Owen Harshman pulling out a 6-2, 6-4 win to clinch the team victory.
At No. 3 singles, Manchester’s Josh Steely started strong with a 6-0 win in the first set but dropped the final two sets, 6-4, 6-3.
Manchester looks to go 3-0 in the conference when they host Whitko Thursday, Sept. 7, at 5 p.m.
