The Manchester varsity volleyball team hosted Columbia City on Tuesday night. The Squires battled hard but couldn’t overcome the seasoned Eagles team, losing in 4 sets after winning the 1st (21-25, 25-14, 25-18, 25-22).
On the night, the Squires were lead offensively by seniors Olivia Davis with 9 kills, McKelvey Espeset with 8 kills, and Gracie Lauer with 5 kills.
Defensively, the Squires were scrappy with three girls totaling double digit digs. Those were the birthday girl Paxton Baker leading the way with 14, Peyton Ream with 13, and Myla Crozier with 12.
The Squires are in action at home again on Thursday when they host Whitko and try to keep their undefeated conference record alive.
