Wabash Boys Soccer dropped an away match to Mississinewa by a score of 4-0 Thursday.

The game was knotted up at zeroes for the first 25 minutes until a Mississinewa attacker found the net on a burner from outside. Ten minutes later Mississinewa got the second punching in a loose ball from about 5 yards out. The Mississinewa attack held the Apaches in their own half for much of the match, but Troy Guenin-Hodson managed to get away 4 shots on the Indians’ goal. The second half saw the Apaches change their formation to gain better control of the midfield. The passing combinations among Ty Carpenter, Will Galley, and Guenin-Hodson showed a little of what the Apaches can accomplish, but that final ball into the heart of the Mississinewa defense never manifested. The last two goals for the Indians came midway through the second half on tremendous individual plays that broke through an improved defensive line for Wabash. Prestyn Jones put in another impressive turn on defense and Isaac Byers collected 9 saves. The Apaches return to action Saturday morning in a 10 am match at Eastern.
