Knights Score Early And Late To Defeat Norse

The Southwood Knights scored early in the first quarter and late in the fourth to defeat Northfield 13-0 Friday.

After a Griffin Chambers long completion to Luke Pershing, Chambers would score from 2yds out with 8:31 on the clock to give the Knights a 6-0 lead which would also be the score at the half.

Northfield would dominate the clock in the second half with the Southwood defense stepping up to keep the Norse out of the endzone.

The Norse were on a five minute drive in the fourth and had the ball on the Southwood 15 but were unable to score. The Northfield defense would hold one more time, forcing a Southwood punt. The Norse had the ball on their own 41 when a Southwood blitz forced a fumble with Ivan Ranck picking up the ball and racing 30yds for a TD. The Cooper Drake kick made it 13-0.
