Manchester Girls Soccer Holds Off West Noble

The Manchester girls soccer team battled hard Saturday to pull out the 3-2 victory over West Noble.

The Lady Squires had a slow start as West Noble found the back of the net first to take the lead 1-0. Before halftime, Campbell Bolinger was able to send a free kick through the upper 90 to tie the game 1–1.

Out of halftime, the ladies played with a lot of energy. London Spangle sent a through ball to Campbell Bolinger to put the Squires up 2-1. Campbell found the net one more time off another free kick to increase the lead. West Noble had some more opportunities and capitalized on one of them in the last 10 minutes cutting the lead to 3-2.

The Lady Squire defense held strong and finished the game. Addison Brubaker, Karsyn Kamphues, Molly Schannep, and Chase Blevins played tough against some fast West Noble forwards. Grace Smith had 7 saves.
