Northfield JV Runner Up At Own Invite

The Northfield Junior Varsity Volleyball team finished second in the Northfield JV Invite on Saturday.

The ladies first took on New Haven, defeating them scores of 25-9, 25-15. Vivian Haupert led in scoring with 10 points, 5 aces, followed by Saige Martin with 9 points, 4 aces. Emma Shrock and Callie Hoffman had 6 points each. Callie Hoffman had 4 kills, Emma Shrock had 3.
The ladies then took on Eastern, defeating them scores of 22-25, 25-20, 15-11. Saige Martin led the charge with 14 points, 5 aces, Callie Hoffman added 10 points, 2 aces and Vivian Haupert chipped in 5 points, 1 ace. Callie Hoffman had 8 kills, MiKayla Meyer had 4 kills.
The Championship game was a rematch against Norwell. The ladies fought hard but fell short by 2 points. Scores were 25-23, 17-25, 14-16. Leading the Norse in scoring was Brinlei Swihart with 9 points, Callie Hoffman and Emma Shrock both added 4 points, 1 ace each. MiKayla Meyer had 6 kills, Emma Shrock had 5 kills.
