Wabash Boys Soccer Pitches Shut Out
Wabash Boys Soccer picked up their third win of the season along with their third shutout Thursday night over Blackford 1-0.
Max Carpenter scored in the second half on one of several break-aways he had during the game. Carpenter manufactured the goal after forcing a turnover about 40 yards from goal. Will Galley led the Apaches with 5 shots and Caleb Daugherty had three of his own including a header off a Ty Carpenter corner which forced a dramatic save by the Blackford keeper. Isaac Byers recorded his third clean sheet collecting 6 saves. Derek Reed and Prestyn Jones held down the center of the defense for the Apaches.
Wabash faces TRC and county rival Manchester Saturday morning for a 10 am kickoff at Alumni field.
