Wabash Boys/Girls Win Wabash XC Invite
The Wabash cross county teams were host to the Wabash Invite Tuesday.
The high school boys cross country team won their own invitational at the Wabash City Park Tuesday with a score of 22 points. Lewis Cass was 2nd with 36 points and Northfield 3rd with 80. Jonas Church was the individual winner followed by Kaden Vogel in 3rd, Isaiah Cordes in 4th, Jace Bullins in 6th, Kasen Oswalt in 8th, Chase Howard in 10th, Matthew Niles in 12th, Krisitan Stanton 18th and Maverick Sommers 19th.
Wrapping up the night, the Lady Apaches walked away with some hardware, taking first place. First for the Lady Apaches was our junior, Ivy Beamer, coming in with a 23:58 time and taking 3rd place. Close behind her was Calisen Kugler, a senior, with a 24:00 time and a 4th place finish. Next was freshman, Mallory Tart, with a time of 24:16 and crossing the line in 5th place. Following in was Haylee Friend, a sophomore, running a time of 24:26 and placing 6th overall. Next up was Mia Fairchild, a freshman, placing 7th overall with a time of 24:30. Rinka Higuera, a freshman, came in behind Fairchild with a PR time of 25:24 and placing 8th in the line up. Sophomore, Maya Howard, ran a time of 26:10 and placing 9th overall. Right behind her was Josie Bailey, a freshman, who finished up for the running Apaches with a time of 27:08 and a 10th place finish.
Northfield Varsity Boys ran great races at Wabash Tuesday evening. Ryland Miller finished 11th overall with a time of 19:02, Kourtland Pratt finished 15th with a time of 20:56, Holten Satterthwaite finished 17th in a time of 21:54, Ryan Brunett finsihed 18th overall in a time of 21:58 and Ethan Hoover ran a 24:38.
The Lady Norse took 1st and 2nd places overall. Madeline Moore was 1st running a 22:50 PR for the season, Trinity Bever took 2nd in a time of 23:35 and Olia Leffert finished in 27:51.
