Wabash Girls Soccer Defeats Tri Central

The Wabash Lady Apaches soccer team won over Tri-Central 3-1Wednesday.

Junior goalkeeper Olivia Braun played a strong game for Wabash with 14 save on the night. Defense tonight by senior Kiana Jones, juniors Macy VonUhl, Graci Napier and Abbi Hipskind along with sophomore Jaycee Jones was very well played. Napier also played centrally for the Lady Apaches and controlled the center of the field for majority of the game. Strong minutes by junior Kait Honeycutt in the midfield position, providing great possession and distribution offensively.

Shots tonight taken by seniors Natalie Adams, Maddie VonUhl, Piper Althouse and K. Jones, juniors Honeycutt, Napier, Hipskind and Emma Weaver. Apache goals tonight came from Maddie VonUhl (2), both assisted from Adams. Adams had the other Wabash goal unassisted. The Lady Apaches had strong bench minutes, with everyone available to play had game time tonight. Wabash improves to 6-4-1 on the season and is back in action on Saturday at 10am at Eastern High School.
