Manchester United Picks Up Two Wins
The Manchester United flag football team picked up two wins Thursday.
Unified Flag Football Squires beat Blackford 38-24
On the opening play, Payton Baker puts so much pressure on the quarterback he throws an interception to Gavin Martin. Lengel completes the pass to Hunter Bean for a gain of five. Brady Miller takes the hand off and runs the whole length the field for a touchdown. Peyton Baker with a rush for the extra point. Brady Miller with an interception to stop the other team from the extra point. Rheise Baker takes the hand off for short yards. Resto D’Andrea weaves his way through traffic for a rushing touchdown. Lengel with a quarterback keeper around the end for a short gain. Cody Lengel completes a pass to Rheise Baker for a touchdown. Hunter Bean with an interception gives the ball back to the Squires. Cody Lengel’s pass is complete to Brady Miller for rushing touchdown. Gavin Martin completes a pass to Jacob Emerick for short yards. Peyton Baker puts pressure on the quarterback causing incomplete pass. At the end of the half it’s 26-12 Squires. Second half starts with Peyton Baker carrying the ball for a nice gain of 8 yards. Gavin Betten completes a shuffle pass to Jacob Emerick for a short game. Resto D’Andrea received a package from Cody Lengel for a gain of six. Pass broken up by Gavin Betten to get the Squires the ball back. Cody Lengel’s pass is complete to Brady Miller for a short gain. Gavin Martin completed pass to Cody Lengel for a long touchdown. Jacob Emerick for a rushing extra point. Peyton Baker, rushing the quarterback, just barely missing the sack. Resto D’Andrea with an interception to get the Squires the ball back. Pass is complete from Cody Lengel to Rheise Baker for a huge gain. Squires win with the final score 38-24.
Unified Flag Football beats Tippecanoe Valley 36 – 31
The Squires second game for the night was against Tippecanoe Valley. Cody Lengel completes a pass to Gavin Betten who takes it all the way to the house for a touch down. Peyton Baker stopped just sort of getting the extra point. Hunter Bean pulling flags for a huge stop. Gavin Martin carries the reverse around and in for a 15 yard gain. Cody Lengel completes the pass to Brady Miller. He goes for a Manchester Squires first down. Hunter Bean carries the ball for a short gain. Cody Lengel completes a pass to Gavin Betten for another short gain. Rheise Baker carries the ball for a short gain, however, Squires turnover on downs. Cody Lengel completes a pass to Brady Miller for a short gain. Hunter Bean around the end for a short gain. Cody Lengel completed pass to Gavin Betten for a Manchester Squires first down. Brady Miller with a 15 yard rushing touchdown. Cody Lengel comes up short on the extra point. Lucas Hernandez with the carry up the middle for a short gain.
