Results from Peru for Thursday, September 21st

Peru’s Senior Night ended under the lights as seniors Ian Potts, Jackson Rogers, and Jayleb Walsh were honored for their contributions to the team. The Tigers played well into the evening as #3 singles Jackson Rogers won a tiebreaker 7-4 to win the decisive third set, and Jayleb Walsh dropped a three set match at #2 singles.

Ian Potts earlier scored the point at #1 singles and Peru swept the doubles spots with Jackson and Jacob Boswell at #1 and J.P. Pallante and Lucas Musser at the #2 spot.

The Tigers will begin the defense of their sectional championship on Wednesday at Thrush Courts.

=====================================

These girls have come a long way since the beginning of the season for full on play. Goal scored first half from freshman Katy Jo Kieninger brought energy to the Lady Tiger team. Great night for our defensive line of Clark, Turner, Rodriguez, and Roush (and defensive sub Correll) that helped feed the offensive line throughout the second half. Awesome assist from freshman Cassandra Blong to rookie Sophmore soccer player Ashlynn Brown for goal number two. Tiger win of 2 to 0 to send the Zebras home.
