Norse Ground Game Attacks Apaches

The Northfield football team defended their home field Friday, defeating Wabash 27-12.

The Norse would strike quick to start the game when Turner Stephens raced 39yds just over a minute into the game to put the Norse up 7-0.

Northfield would add to their lead in the second when Maddux Daniels scored from 7yds out to give the Norse a 14-0 lead at the half.

Wabash would get on the board to start the scoring in the second half when Izaak Wright connected withTrevor Daughtry from 49yds out to make it 14-6. Northfield would answer late in the third when Brayden Rice found Layne Denton from 39yds away to make it 21-6.

The Apaches would mount a drive to start the fourth with Wright finding Ashton Grant from a yard out to make it 21-12 with 9:06 to play. The Norse would then grind the clock on the legs of Stephens scoring with 41.3 on the clock for the 27-12 final.
