Manchester Tennis Advances

The Manchester boys tennis team defeated Maconaquah, 5-0, in the opening round of the Peru Sectional Wednesday night, Sept. 27.

In singles play, Josh Steely won, 6-0, 6-1, Peyton Jones won, 6-0, 6-0, and Caleb Struble-Hedstrom won by forfeit.

In doubles action, the team of Cole Henderson and Connor Trump won, 6-0, 6-0, and the team of Sammie Lambert and Owen Harshman also won, 6-0, 6-0.

The Squires advance to the semifinal round on Thursday, Sept. 28, against Rochester at 5:15 p.m. Manchester defeated Rochester, 3-2, on Sept. 5.

Wabash and Peru face off in the other semifinal match.
