Lady Squires Lose Marathon In Sectional


The Manchester volleyball team came out strong playing their best volleyball of the season, winning the first 2 sets of their sectional match before dropping the next 3 sets to eventual sectional champion Adams Central High School.

Multiple Squires had impressive hitting nights, led by Olivia Davis with 9 kills and 1 block, McKelvey Espeset and Myla Crozier each with 7 kills, and Gracie Lauer with 6 kills. Ava Felgar, along with Espeset and Lauer, each also had 3 blocks.

Defensively, many girls had their best performances of the season. Hadley West led the Squires with 30 digs, followed by Paxton Baker with 23 digs, Myla Crozier with 17 digs, and Marley Bellinger with 14 digs.

Peyton Ream finished with 25 assists.

The Squires finish their season with a record of 14-16 including a 6-3 record in the TRC.
