Lady Squires Fall In Season Opener

The Manchester girls’ basketball team opened their season Wednesday, falling to Wawasee 37-30.

It was a tough offensive night for the Lady Squires. After a lot of missed shots during the first half, the ladies were down 20-8 at halftime. During the second half, they never quit fighting, but lost 30-37.

Gracie Lauer led with 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 steal. Emma Walker had 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists. Brookelynn Buzzard had 8 points 2 rebounds, and 1 steal. Peyton Ream played a great defensive game with 2 steals and 7 rebounds. Kim Schroll had 2 points and 7 rebounds, while Molly Schannep added 2 points and 4 rebounds. Hadley West, Grace Smith, and Hanna Stout all added great minutes and pulled down a few rebounds each.
