Early Struggles Cost Lady Norse

The Northfield girls basketball team fell to Oak Hill 45-30 Friday.

The Lady Norse fell behind by 20 points at the half before outscoring the Eagles in the second half.

Oak Hill would score the first 9 points of the game before Ellie Baker made it 9-2 after one.

The Eagles would extend their lead to 14-2 in the second quarter before Baker hit again. Laney Haupert would drain a three while Eden Hoover sank two free throws. Northfield trailed 29-9 at the half.

Down 35-10 in the third the Norse came to life, scoring 10 straight. Baker, Camryn Kuhn and Hoover would all hit free throws to make it 35-20. Northfield trailed 38-21 after three.

Oak Hill would milk much of the clock in the fourth while the Norse kept crashing the bucket. Kuhn, Hoover, Baker and Callie Hoffman all had buckets in the fourth in the 45-30 loss.

Northfield scoring : Ellie Baker 11, Camryn Kuhn 2, Laney Haupert 3, Eden Hoover 9.

The Northfield junior varsity fell to Oak Hill 41-17.
