Lady Apaches Cruise Past Marion
The Wabash Lady Apaches picked up their first win of the year, rolling past Marion 50-17 Saturday.
The Apaches would score the first 7 points of the game with buckets from Kierra Wilson and Kate Honeycutt. Bryleigh Boggs and Janika Stumbo each hit free throws. Kiana Jones and Isabella Vail would also hit as Wabash led 13-6 after the first quarter.
Honeycutt would kick off the second quarter with back to back three pointers, followed by a Wilson bucket to grow the lead to 21-6. Stumbo would hit another bucket and Wabash got two free throws from Jones to lead 25-10 at the half.
Wabash would put the game away in the third, scoring the first 12 points of the quarter. Wilson and Boggs did most of the damage. Leading 37-12 Honeycutt, Wilson and Samantha Walter would all score and Wabash led 44-12 with a quarter to go.
The Apaches would score the first 6 points of the fourth as they cruised to a 50-17 win.
