Peru battles back to win at Logansport 69 to 52

Peru traveled to Logansport to kick off the 2023-2024 season.

Peru’s head coach Travis Smith picks up his first Varsity win as the new top man 69 to 52.

Peru and Logansport both started the game trading baskets with Peru holding a 20 to 16 lead.

Peru’s shooting went ice cold in the second quarter, and Logan was red hot our scoring the Tigers 22 to 10 to hold a 38 to 30 lead at half.

The Tigers ratcheted the defense and found their shooting stroke in the 2nd half and pulled to within 1 after 3, 52 to 51.

Peru’s defense then smothered the Berries, not allowing a single point, and chipped in 18 of their own to pull away late for a 17 point victory 69 to 52.

Peru travels to 4A #5 Kokomo on Friday December 1st.
