Boys Varsity Basketball beats Norwell 66 – 59

The Varsity Boys Basketball team lost a tough one to Norwell in double overtime. Down nine after the first quarter Oak Hill outscored Norwell 22 to 8 to take a halftime lead of 30-25. They increase their lead after the third quarter by five more going in to the 4th up 10. In the 4th quarter, after extended the Golden Eagles started out strong extending their lead, Norwell came all the way back to tie it and send it to overtime. After another even quarter, Norwell scored early in the 2nd overtime and the Golden Eagles couldn’t come back, losing the battle 59-66. Scoring was pretty balanced as Levi Trexler had 13, Jace Tonagel 11, Ty Fagan 10, R.J. Shugart 9, Colin Middlesworth 9, Trenton Sweet 4, and Ryan Lawson 3.

Girls Varsity Basketball falls to Western 41 – 28

Oak Hill lost to Western tonight but it was a hard fought defensive affair. Oak Hill again held a team significantly below their season average for points in a game.

Oak Hill’s leading scorers on the night were Lex Myers and Liz Godfrey with 6 each. Erika Newhouse added 5 herself.

Erika and Lydia Trexler paced the team on the boards.

Even in a loss Oak Hill had a lot of positives in this game.

JV also won39-32 tonight.
