Girls Varsity Basketball beats Peru 46 – 36

All records were thrown out tonight in a TRC barn burner vs the Peru Lady Tigers. In a close game from tip to buzzer, the Lady Kings found ways to stay just out of reach of Peru. Aftin Griffin paced the Kings early and often as she scored a game high 16 points. Heta Kosunen was again a forces inside as she pulled down a game high 11 rebounds to go with her 11 points to earn her another double double on the season. Kosunen also had a team high 3 steals. Ann Hedrick was able to chip in 6 points as she went 4 for 6 from the free throw line. Kinsey Mennen found herself as the focus of Peru’s defense as she had to battle thru foul trouble and still managed to score 5 points and pulled down 9 rebounds. Other scorers for the Kings were Faith Helvie with 5 points and Mylie Sipe with 3 points.

Girls Junior Varsity Basketball beats Peru 35 – 18

In a triumphant display on their home court in Walton, the Lewis Cass Lady Kings secured their fourth consecutive win, this time against the Peru Tigers, with a final score of 35-18. The team’s winning streak is now an impressive testament to their skill, teamwork, and resilience.

Laura Nebrera once again led the charge, contributing 13 points, including three well-executed three-pointers that added an extra spark to the Lady Kings’ offensive performance. Laney Davis, with 12 points and a pair of three-pointers, showcased her versatility and scoring finesse, playing a pivotal role in the team’s success.

Ava Hubner’s contributions with 6 points further highlighted the Lady Kings’ depth, while Lilly Hammond and Lexi Gotshall each added 2 points to round out the scoring distribution.
