Varsity Tigers blow out Norse 62-23

16 Peru hosted Northfield tonight in a TRC match-up in Tigerena.

The Tigers employed a full-court press from the start which helped pace them in the first half and overcome some sloppy offensive play. They built a 10-point lead after 1 and then scored early and often in the 2nd to push the lead to 25 by half. Just over 2 minutes into the 2nd half, Peru had scored another 10, to enforce the mercy rule of a running clock with more than a 35-point lead. Peru also kept Northfield from scoring in the 3rd quarter. The teams traded buckets in the 4th. The lead allowed some of the bench guys to get some run in the game.

The Tigers are now 3-1, 2-0 TRC, and are back in action at Fort Wayne South Side on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
