Squires Win At Huntington North
The Manchester Squires went on the road to Huntington North and defeated the Vikings 62-55 Saturday.
The Squires struggled offensively in the first half, and trailed at halftime 26-23. In the second half, the Squires were finally able to get some shots to drop and took the lead at the end of the third quarter 40-39. Manchester never trailed in the 4th quarter and had a stretch of four made threes in a row that helped build a small lead that they were able to hang on to.
Tyler McLain had 13 of his 15 points in the second half and played a huge part in the Squires win. Manchester was led by Gavin Betten with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Other scorers for the Squires were Tyler McLain with 15, Ethan Hendrix 14, Garrett Sites 10, Tallon Torpy 3, and Gavin Martin 2. Manchester improved to 5-0 on the season and will travel to Southwood on Friday. The Squires then play Fort Wayne Blackhawk on Saturday at Grace College at 7:30 pm.
