Knights Split With Eastern
The Southwood girls and boys basketball teams split a double header with Eastern Saturday.
The girls kicked off the varsity action defeating the Comets 30-26. The Lady Knights led at every stop with the 22-16 halftime lead their largest margin.
Scoring for the Lady Knights : Aubree Huffman 1, Gracie Lambert 14, Lola Winer 7, Emmerson Chellis 4, Hali Pershing 4.
The boys fell behind early and trailed the Comets 21-12 after the first quarter. Down 45-35 after three Southwood chipped away and had the deficit down to two points before falling 56-52.
Scoring for Southwood : Maddox Marshall 8, Will Winer 14, Griffin Chambers 7, Jaret Denney 6, Bryce Wilcox 15, Dalton Barney 2.
Southwood won the freshman game 28-17.
