Girls Varsity Basketball beats Delphi Community 36 – 27

The Lady Kings had another dominant defensive game as they were able to hold the Lady Oracles to 20 points under their season average with a 36-27 victory. Aftin Griffin led the Kings with 11 points. Heta Kosunen pulled down a game high 8 rebounds to go along with her 6 points. Kinsey Mennen continued to keep points out of the paint as she added 5 more blocks to her career total as she also put 6 points towards the total. Other scorers for the Kings were Anna Hedrick with 5 points, Faith Helvie with 4, and Kylie Logan and Ava Hubner both scored 2.

The Lady Kings improve to 9-1 on the season.

Girls Junior Varsity Basketball beats Delphi Community 49 – 25

In a commanding display on Tuesday night, the Lewis Cass Lady Kings continued their winning ways with a convincing victory over the Delphi Oracles. The final score of 49-25 not only solidifies their 7-1 record for the season but also highlights their dominance on both ends of the court.

From the opening whistle, the Lady Kings seized control of the game, sprinting to an impressive 24-4 lead by the end of the first quarter. The early lead set the tone for the remainder of the match, showcasing the team’s cohesion, strategic execution, and scoring prowess.

Laura Nebrera once again led the charge with 14 points, showcasing her consistent scoring ability. Laney Davis and Ava Hubner each contributed 12 points, underscoring the Lady Kings’ balanced offensive attack. Kylie Logan and Lexi Gotshall added 6 and 5 points, respectively, displaying the depth of talent within the team.
